It makes a first and lasting impression on your guest, and it’s the first stop when you return home. Because you need it to be practical, eye-catching and decorated well. So, from an interior design point, it’s important to take extra care when designing and bringing in furniture and décor pieces, especially if it’s a small space.

If your entryway has the space, then you should definitely add some form of seating. This is especially useful for waiting or putting on your shoes.

Storage

Do you hate it when you have a huge pile of shoes sitting at your front door? Looks really messy, right! Having storage, whether it’s a cupboard or a storage bench, is good for hiding away all things messy. If space is an issue, decorative hooks are always a good alternative for keeping things off the ground plus can add extra interest to the walls.

Some kind of table

A hallway or entryway table is great for putting “things on” or displaying home décor items to create interest. If you have the space for a table, get one with drawers that will provide extra storage.

Tray or bowl for random stuff

This is probably a non-negotiable because I’m sure we can all agree that entryway commonly becomes a dumping ground for keys, mail, dog leash, and more! Having a decorative bowl or tray to put on those little things keeps it looking tidy.
